Help: my n70 has no "UMTS" option..

Hey guys ..
You all know n70 is 3g mobile... But how to use umts function ..
My n70 has only two option 1.gsm 2.dual mode
please help how to set umts mode.

Dude am using n70 past 4 years...it doesnt support 3g...only advanced nseries like n73 has 3g in it...so you cant connect 3g connection  through n70

N70 detects automticaly 3g mode .insert a 3g sim  in it and go to network settings their choose dual mode thn phone ask for switch off thn switch off ur phone and thn switch on.it wil surely detects 3g netwrk....

I heard that n70 can set on "umts" mode using pheonix
 is it true??
And n70 is 100% pure 3g like n73...

I also use n70.
The bsnl 3g trick is now stop is any new trick.

@all frnds m using n70 1 from last 3 yrs.Put ur phone in dual mode,and when u insert any 3g sim in it,it will automatically detect that,and working fine.I made 3g call many times from my phone,i dont think there is any prob,
@ginig, bro just put ur phone in dual mode,and then insert bsnl 3g sim in that,and then see wat happens,did ur area support 3g

n70 support only UMTS 2100 3G frequency band.
To get 3g use dual mode and connect with operator manually there u find 3g network.

Dual mode = GSM+UMTS {2G+3G}
The benefit with dual mode is u dont have to manually switch between 2G and 3G. this  avoids interruption of service even when u are not in a 3G enabled area.

UMTS= 3G
only a single mode at a time, if no 3G avaliable ur service is interrupted ,u will have to manually switch to GSM mode.

conclusion, keep it to dual mode and u have UMTS enabled...........
